How I Engineer Systems — 8-Stage SDLC & Software Architecture Methodology
A disciplined, step-by-step methodology that turns abstract business requirements into robust, high-performing software systems with predictable timelines.
Principles & Engineering Process
A disciplined, end-to-end methodology from initial problem deconstruction to production monitoring.
Code is a Liability
Every line written must be maintained, tested, and audited. I prefer lean, expressive abstractions, built-in framework primitives, and minimal third-party dependencies over convoluted boilerplate.
Data Integrity First
UI can always be redesigned, but corrupted financial records or orphan foreign keys are catastrophic. Database normalization, atomic transactions, and strict validation are non-negotiable.
Defensive Engineering
APIs will be abused, users will input edge-case data, and networks will drop packets. I build systems with exponential retry backoffs, idempotent webhooks, and rate-limiting from day one.
